INDIAN SHUTTLING PAIR Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy have picked up a huge title victory.
Facing the tournament favourites in the final, the Indian men's doubles pair produced a brilliant performance under pressure and won the Korea Open Super 500.
Their opponents were th world no. 1 duo of Indonesian shuttlers Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Rian Ardianto. The favourites won the first game, but then the Indian duo made a brilliant comeback to seal a 17-21, 21-13, 21-14 victory.
Chirag and Satwik are the world number 3 ranked top doubles team. In the smei-finals, they had beaten the Chinese duo who were the world number 2. So going into the final, the expectations were high; and the Indian shuttlers delivered over and beyond what their fans were hoping from them.
