Early rush start

History and past fighters wax eloquent about Floyd's ability to study his opponent to such an extent that he sees things coming before the opponent plans on doing them. He's proven to be the master at shutting down his opponent's gameplan and fight 'his fight', as evidenced in his fights against elite boxers such as Miguel Cotto, Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez.

A counter puncher at heart and a defensive genius, a lot of Mayweather's success stems from his ability to get a read on his opponents in the fight in the first few rounds before he applies his game plan and starts stealing those rounds away from them. However, that does mean that he's still relying on his ability to read his opponent which does take time.

Conor has a huge advantage over Floyd in this department in that there's no footage of him boxing so that the 'Defense First' approach of Floyd has no foundation to go off of. The first time they meet in the ring is when Floyd starts to figure out how the MMA champ actually boxes in the ring, and he's human and prone in those moments when Conor and he are on an even-playing field, despite the Irishman's 0-0 record.

Taking advantage of that fact, if 'Notorious' is able to overwhelm the older man with his power and unique angles, there is a legit chance that Conor is able to inflict damage on Mayweather. Chances are that if he comes out like a bat out of hell, Conor is able to land something significant before Floyd gets a read on his timing and style. If that happens, the world as we know it may just cease to exist!
