NorthEast United FC announce Portuguese João Deus as their head coach

HAILING FROM PORTUGAL João Carlos Pires de Deus was announced as the head coach which was previously headed by Nelo Vingada. 

The 40 year old João started his career as an Assistant Coach in Portugal, winning the Portuguese Cup and reaching the Super Cup final. In 2009, he became the Head Coach of the Cape Verde National team & implemented his philosophy on the country's grassroots structure.

After stints in Spain and Portugal where he took up various challenges, he was appointed as the Head Coach of Sporting Club de Portugal's 'B' side.There he developed and honed several Portuguese stars like Gelson Martins, who now plays for the Portugal National Team.
