Sindhu became the first Indian woman athlete to win a Silver at the Olympics (Rio 2016)
Jwala Gutta became the first Indian shuttler to qualify for two events at the Olympics, in mixed doubles (V.Diju) and women's doubles (Ashwini Ponnappa) in 2010. In 2016 too, she played women's doubles with Ashwini.
Parupalli Kashyap played at the 2010 London Olympics.
Manu Attri along with Sumeeth Reddy became the first Indian men's doubles pair to play at the Olympics.
