UFC 209 Full Fight Card Preview and Predictions

IT'S BEEN A WHILE since we got the big-fight feel, from one of the fight cards that the world's biggest fight promotion put together. Maybe, it was the Ronda Rousey main evented UFC 207, closing out 2016, which was the last one to have the UFC faithful excited about the weekend and the promise it held. Granted, there was the UFC Denver card, which was stacked with some good fights, and who can forget UFC 208, which while relatively strong on paper, turned out to be among the weakest shows in the promotion's PPV history.

Woodley and Thompson goes head to head for the title

However, this Saturday night, the UFC is set to right all those perceived wrongs, with a stacked card coming our way. To make up for the lack of a 'Wow' PPV experience so far this year, UFC 209 is headlined by two title fights at the top, with a solid undercard featuring some big names and sport veterans. A firecracker of a co-main event, featuring two of the best lightweights in the sport, streaking contenders Tony Ferguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov are set to battle it out for the interim championship.

In the main event though, it will be a do-over of the 'Fight of the Night' candidate from UFC 205 in New York, as Tyron Woodley rematches Stephen Thompson in his second defense of the UFC welterweight championship, after their first clash yielded a majority draw on the scorecards of the judges. How different will this one turn out to be?

Well, March 4th (5th morning in India) can't come any sooner and read on for a deeper look at the fights this weekend, and who you should be betting on.
