Alistair Overeem vs Mark Hunt

In what will be the first of the two rematches set for the main card, it's the battle of two former K-1 Heavyweight Grand Prix champions in an UFC octagon, as veterans Mark Hunt and Alistair Overeem take on each other for bragging rights. This fight has surprisingly flown under the radar, given both men are top 10 Heavyweights and are exciting knockout artists to boot.

Hunt, who is walking unchartered waters having filed a case against UFC while showing up to work, is coming off that disastrous loss to Brock Lesnar last July at UFC 200, which has since been overturned into a no-contest. Overeem on the other hand, got finished in the first round in his last fight, a title bout against champion Stipe Miocic, but not before dropping the champion on his butt with a straight right.

This one is unlikely to go to decision, but both men have shown that they can be patient  if need be, when looking for the opening to land the finishing strike. Overeem is the more well-rounded fighter, but Hunt is the more durable of the two. If Hunt connects with his fist, 'The Reem' is unlikely to survive. However, the former Strikeforce champ did win their first go-around, with a skillful Kimura submission after taking the Super-Samoan down. Given that he has more ways to win, I am leaning towards Overeem to win this one.
