Pena, who has been flying under the radar ever since her win in the Ultimate Fighter season 18, is currently ranked number 5 in the division and pending the outcome of her legal situation, is scheduled to fight in the next couple of months. Following her last dominant win over a tough Jessica Eye, expect the UFC to pair her against one of the top names in the division, possibly a top 5 ranked opponent.
Pena, who lives up to her nickname 'Venezuelan Vixen', is among the best pressure fighters in the game with a non-stop grind-based fight style that, outside of Ronda, not many women are equipped to deal with when the fight hits the ground. Her ability to gain top position and inflict damage through ground-and-pound and/or secure a submission is among the very elite in the UFC.
While a similar fighter to the champ in terms of style, Pena is a bit bigger and more explosive than Miesha and it will be an interesting match if it happens.
