Amit Mishra likely to appear before police as complainant denies reports of withdrawing case

THE AMIT MISHRA assault case seems to have taken a new twist, with the latest reports suggesting that the complainant has refused to withdraw the case against the Indian cricketer. Mishra is likely to appear before the police after the end of the India-South Africa ODI series. The cricketer was booked under the Indian Penal Code sections 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 328 (causing hurt with intent to commit an offence).
