TFG SmackDown Review: New champion crowned, Contract signing, La Luchadora

SMACKDOWN ONCE AGAIN showed why it is the best show by delivering yet another crisp episode on Tuesday night. The show was headlined by the Intercontinental championship match between Dean Ambrose and Miz.

Ambrose was crowned the new champion

Ambrose gets the gold

In what proved to be an excellent match, Dean Ambrose captured the WWE Intercontinental championship from Miz. Both Ambrose and Miz delivered a top notch performance and the match had its fair share of drama thanks to Maryse. At one point, there was even a tease of the match ending in disqualification.

La Luchadora remains a mystery

The identity of La Luchadora remained a mystery this week. Becky went up against Luchadora in a match but the identity was not revealed. The match, however, suggested that Luchadora is aligned with Alexa Bliss. The mystery continues and hopefully WWE will reveal it sooner or later.

Cena and Styles sign contract

AJ Styles and John Cena signed the contract for their match at Royal Rumble and the segment excelled on different levels. AJ Styles plugged the fact that SmackDown had been doing well without Cena and also took shots at the Hollywood aspirations of the Cenation leader. It was an emotional promo from Cena as well and in the end, Baron Corbin issued a challenge to Cena.

Below are the complete results:

  • Maryse slapped Dean Ambrose
