Holly Holm wants to make a statement, Talks Ronda Rousey rematch

HOLLY HOLM IS ALL SET TO fight Germaine de Randamie for the inaugural UFC Women’s Featherweight championship at UFC 208.

Though this is a big stage and opportunity for Holm, she is well aware of the fact that she has a point to prove.

“I do want to take advantages of opportunities that are given to me. I do still have a lot to prove, coming off of two losses. I’m ready to get in there and just do whatever it takes, whether it’s at 135 or 145. I’m just ready to make a statement again.” Holm told MMA Junkie.

After her historic win against Ronda Rousey, Holm is yet to win a fight and has suffered two back to back losses in the time frame. But a win at UFC 208 could change the situation upside down. And not only will a win put her back on top, but it also opens the door for a rematch with Rousey.

“I don’t think about it because there’s a lot that has to happen. That’s what I tell people when they ask about it and say, ‘Hey, don’t you want to rematch Ronda?’ Well, there’s still a fight that’s taking place Dec. 30 and a fight that’s taking place Feb. 11. Depending on how both of those go, that could be the make or break of everything. Who knows what’s going to happen in three months? Anything can happen in three months.” she added.
