Max Holloway and Anthony Pettis sound off about Jose Aldo Ahead of UFC 206

MAX HOLLOWAY will face Anthony Pettis for the Interim Featherweight championship at UFC 206 this weekend. Ahead of the show, both Pettis and Holloway had attended the media conference call where they talked about a variety of things.

One of the most recurring questions during the call was about Jose Also. Holloway was quizzed about Aldo on numerous occasions and here is what Holloway had to say.

“I ain’t friends with the guy. I don’t follow him on social media or whatever.  I don’t talk to him.  I don’t see the stuff he posts or have a conversation with the guy.  So, who knows what’s going through his mind, only his coaches and only himself, you know.  But, we’ll see what happens, you know, after December 10th and we’ll find out, you know.  We’re going to go out there and you guys are going to get a great fight and after December 10th we will see what’s up with that guy’s mind.” He said.

Meanwhile, Pettis was also asked about the Aldo situation.

“I mean for me Jose Aldo is still Jose Aldo, man.  I mean, everybody loses, even the greatest lose sometimes. He lost you know 13 seconds with Conor McGregor.  He still has the history that he had.  He was a dominant champ for a long time.  Now he is not – all of a sudden he sucks because he got knocked out by Conor McGregor.” He added.

Holloway also went on to comment about the Aldo rejecting the fights that he was offered by the UFC.

“This guy, you know, is over here talking about fighting, this and that, and whatever blah, blah, he wants to fight, he wants to fight, (expletive) had a fight and didn’t take it. Now it is me and Pettis and now it’s time to go out there and, you know, put on a show for the Canadians and the Toronto fans and the world, you know. “he said.
