Gurpreet gears up for Stabaek's crucial relegation duel

GOALKEEPER GURPREET SINGH SANDHU and his Norwegian club Stabaek are gearing up for the dreaded relegation play-off match. This season, they were placed third from bottom in the Eliteserien, the top division league in Norway and have to win the play-off match in order to stay in the top flight.

Stabaek will have to play against the play-off contender from the second division. In the second division, third to sixth positioned teams have to play amongst each other and the winner has to beat the third-to-bottom team from the top tier to win a promotion, which in this case is Stabaek.

Gurpreet posted a picture on Twitter stating it's good weather to train and they are preparing for the match.

Stabaek's opponent in this crucial battle will be decided on 26th November when Kongsvinger and Jerv, the second tier teams who reached the final qualifying match for this play-off, will face each other to decide who gets this last-ditch shot at making it to the top divsion.
