Unhappy with the Reebok deal, Fabricio Werdum is negotiating with Nike

THE REEBOK DEAL of UFC is something that came under a lot of criticism. The latest fighter to take a shot at the deal is Fabricio Werdum.

Werdum is unhappy with the Reebok deal

Werdum, who is set to face Cain Velasquez at UFC 207 in a potential title eliminator, said that he is currently in negotiations with Nike.

“(Nike and I) are negotiating, it’s going to happen – we’ll see if it happens, it depends on figures, it depends on a lot of things. We might close (the deal), we might not. But I went ahead because I’m not happy with Reebok. I’m not happy because making $5,000 per fight sucks. For a person who made $100,000, $150,000 per fight, going to $5,000, it’s not easy. It was more a protest, but I’m already negotiating with Nike,” He told MMA Junkie.

Earlier, Werdum had posted a picture on his instagram account where he took a shot at Reebok and endorsed Nike at the same time.
