Indian Olympic hero Sushil Kumar in talks with WWE
Two-time Olympic medalist Sushil Kumar is currently in talks with WWE about a potential career in professional wrestling.
WWE had been exploring to find a new talent from India after the departure of The Great Khali and though they hired a couple of wrestler, it failed to kick off the headlines that the company would’ve wanted. Sushil Kumar, on the other hand, could be a big deal for WWE as far as the Indian market is concerned.
Sushil had recent fallout with Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) due to the Narsingh Yadav controversy that rocked the Indian sporting world and exploring his options.
The 33-year-old Sushil is also in talks with WWE about opening a franchise in WWE where the Indian talent could be trained.
