Unknown Quantities: Debutants, rookies worth considering in fantasy cricket for PAK v WI Tests

THE THREE-MATCH Test series between Pakistan and West Indies will get underway tomorrow at the Dubai International cricket stadium, and after whitewashing the tourists in both the ODI’s and T20s, Pakistan will be hoping for another stellar performance in the five-day format. 

The first match will be played under the lights, with the pink ball and it will be interesting to see how both teams cope up to the new challenge. 

Like always, change of format often calls for alteration in the team. Both teams have called in some Test specialists into their scheme of things and if the Windies can put up a fight, we can expect a gripping series.

As far as the conditions are concerned, we feel that batsmen are likely to benefit from the friendly wickets in the Emirates, but the spinners might also come into play as the game reaches its business end. 

On the fantasy cricket front, we have already mentioned in our previous column about our captains for the entire series. Now, considering that we might see some not so renowned names and a few debutants, we are glad to present our picks who might spring in a surprise.
