Khabib Nurmagomedov threatens to leave UFC and says that UFC will never hold an event in Russia if he leaves

THE ANNOUCEMENT of UFC 205 main event between Eddie Alvarez and Conor McGregor has made a lot of the fighters unhappy.

Jose Aldo recently requested his release from UFC and now, Khabib Nurmagomedov is also making a bold move.

"If I don't fight after this fight for the title, I never fight in UFC. No more. Because, I deserve this. I am undefeated, I never lose. Eight-and-a-half years, I never lose. And everybody knows that I deserve this fight,” Khabib said during an interview with The Score.

Khabib was offered contracts for UFC 205 and UFC 206 against Eddie Alvarez for the title but the entry of Conor McGregor changed everything upside down. Khabib did find a place in the UFC 205 card against Michael Johnson, but main eventing the event and fighting in the prelims are completely different things.

Along with this, Khabib also said that UFC would not keep an event in Russia if he leaves.

"UFC thinks Conor has power? Ireland has only six million people. I'm from Russia. 150 million people. If the UFC doesn't give me a title fight after this fight, I'm going to show how I have power in Russia. And I know if I don't fight for the title next fight after this fight, the UFC will never, ever go to Russia. Never,” he said.
