UFC Chicago Results and Review : Shevchenko produces a huge upset

Valentina Shevchenko produced a huge upset at UFC Fight Night in Chicago as she defeated former Women’s Bantamweight champion Holly Holm via unanimous decision.

Dominating Valentina

The fight started off as many expected when Holm got the upper hand in the first round. Things changed from the second round onwards when Holm started struggling with her range. Her counters were having problems as well and Shevchenko took advantage of the situation. Though the final four rounds of the fight were close, Shevchenko managed to showcase that she was dominating and putting pressure on Holm. In the post-match interview, Holm admitted that she was not on top of her game and the win of Shevchenko has once again ripped open the Bantamweight division.

Ngannou impresses

Another impressive performance that came at the Fight Night was from Francis Ngannou. Ngannou went head to head against Bojan Mihajlović and came out with a first round TKO win via punches. This was his four straight KO win in the UFC and he equals the record with Mairbek Taisumov for the longest active UFC knockout streak. With a record of 8-1 and a commendable momentum to his name, Ngannou is slowly rising as a top contender in the Heavyweight division.
