The 27 year old has been playing top division football for a while now. After making his I-League debut for the Flaming Oranjes in 2008-09, for whom he scored his only I-League goal so far. He came to prominence later playing at clubs like Salgaocar, Viva Kerala (Chirag United) and later, United SC in Kolkata. He was part of the United SC team that won the IFA Shield in 2013 beating East Bengal in the final.
He joined the corporate venture club Mumbai Tigers but when the club did not take off he went back to the Flaming Oranjes. He has been sparingly used for the past two seasons, making a total of 11 league appearances for them.
But now that the Goan club has decided to exit the top division, Chinta chose to prove himself at Mohun Bagan, and has joined their practice session ahead of the upcoming 118th season of the Calcutta Football League. He will be hoping to perform well enough in the local league to make it into the Mariners' I-League roster.
