Gaffer's Holiday: India coach Constantine makes the best out of the summer

INDIAN FOOTBALL NATIONAL TEAM'S head coach Stephen Constantine is on a vacation.

He has faced many challenging opponents as a player and coach. Now even off the football field he faces his challenges boldly.

This time his opponent being a raging river. Not only that, he also trekked over the Bovereen Glaciers with his daughters. It doesn't end there! He also enjoyed water rafting along with his girls.

He took to Twitter to share these pictures and experience.

The Indian national team has disbanded for the summer, and their next scheduled game is an AFC Asian Cup qualifier in March. With the private tournament ISL making it impossible for the national team to hold preparatory camps and play international friendlies to prepare themselves for their major assignments, Constantine has a while before he will be able to get his boys together on a pitch again.

The coach, who has changed the face of the national team ever since he took over with multitudes of youngsters getting a chance to prove their mettle, has been repeatedly asking the AIFF to give him more time with the players and more games for the Blue Tigers, but so far the Indian FA has paid little heed. So he might as well make the most out of his vacation because when he comes back to the job it's going to be the same old grind that he had to wade through to win the SAFF Championship and reach the 3rd round of the Asian Cup qualifiers.
