Muhammad Ali is a name worth idolizing. And as a child, Conor McGregor knew this fact. He was an avid follower of Ali and considered Ali to be his role model at a very young age itself. The trash talking, the usage of psychological warfare and the pre-match predictions that Conor does has led to many comparisons between the two.

UFC owner Lorenzo Fertitta has even gone on to call McGregor ‘The Irish Muhammad Ali. McGregor meanwhile once paid tribute to Ali when he appeared on the UFC Magazine by posing in the same pose that Ali had on the cover of Sports Illustrated.
