Lajong will be extra motivated to perform against Aizawl FC, warns Jahar Das

AIZAWL FC HEAD COACH Jahar Das struck a cautionary note before going into the frey with Shillong Lajong in the second leg of the North-East Derby in the I-League.

Speaking to reporters, he said that his players need to remain very vigilant in order to repeat the performance they put up against Mohun Bagan,

"I'm worried about this statistic of this world; that after every good performance a team doesn't function in that fashion. So I'm worried about that, although we're very confident that we'll try to repeat the performance we put up against Mohun Bagan."

Asked how he expected the match against Lajong to go down, he said,  

"Predicting the outcome this early is impossible. Because my friend Thangboi Singto here also has a very good team... and since they know we did well against Mohun Bagan they will be extra motivated to perform against us."

The former Mohun Bagan coach took over at Aizawl FC after Manuel Retamero was dismissed from the job. Under him, Aizawl earned home wins against Mumbai FC and Mohun Bagan, and currently sits 5th in the I-League points table.
