TFG WWE Headlines of the Day: Retirement of Sting, Roman Reigns and more

Set to retire?

Some strong rumours about the retirement of Sting were making headlines this past day along with the post-WrestleMania opponent of Roman Reigns and more. Here is a detailed look at these headlines.

Sting to retire

Various media outlets are reporting that WWE Hall of Famer Sting will announce is in-ring retirement soon. Sting had earlier suffered a neck injury in his match against Seth Rollins at Night of Champion last September and the doctors has confirmed that it is too risky for him to continue wrestling. Sting may make the official announcement during the Hall of Fame ceremony on the night before WrestleMania. Sting is apparently diagnosed with cervical spinal stenosis.

Mick Foley to donate his brain

After the likes of Kevin Nash and Rob Van Dam, Jeff Hardy and Mick Foley have also agreed to donate their brains after death for the CTE Research. With professional wrestling witnessing numerous cases of incidents involving concussion, a research of this type is expected to change the pattern and help wrestlers live a better life.

Post-WrestleMania opponent for Roman Reigns

WWE is currently planning to push Bray Wyatt as the next big heel in the company. As part of this, Bray could get involved in a full-blown main event program with Roman Reigns after WrestleMania. A Bray Wyatt vs. Brock Lesnar feud is also in the talks.
