I enjoy the crowd being against me, it pumps me up: Kohli

INDIAN T20 VICE-CAPTAIN Virat Kohli has the reputation of being extremely aggressive on the field of play and has never shied away from any banter with the opponents or the crowd.

Like we have seen in the past, Kohli has taken enough flak from the crowd across the world and once again the Indian maestro was seen getting into some banter with the Bangladeshi crowd yesterday in Mirpur.

That said, the 27-year-old has enjoyed such exchanges with the crowd in the past and thrives on such situations. As reported by OneIndia News Kohli said,

"I enjoy the crowd being against me, it pumps me up, the more they boo me the more it motivates me."

Kohli was booed by the Bangladesh supporters at the deep mid-wicket boundary and didn't miss an opportunity to give it back to them after he caught Mashrafe Mortaza off the bowling of Ravindra Jadeja.

Very few tricolours were seen at the ground and it was one of those occasions where the Indian contingent in the crowd was outnumbered by the local fans.

The Delhi lad had earlier got into trouble in Australia in 2011-12 when he was fined for an indecent gesture to the crowd after they got abusive.
