7 Shandong Luneng players who can give Mohun Bagan a lot of trouble tomorrow

SHANDONG LUNENG TAISHAN FC. The average sports lover in India may be excused for not knowing about this club. Indeed they haven't done too much in the Asian stage to command the attention of fans abroad, and their accomplishments in Chinese domestic football hardly ever bothers the Indian football fans because for many years now, Indian and Chinese football clubs have remained in completely separated systems with little or no interaction with each other.

But all that is about to change tomorrow when Mohun Bagan, the reigning champions of Indian football, take on Shandong Luneng Taishan in the second round of the AFC Champions League qualifiers. It's a historic opportunity not only because no other Indian club has made it this far in Asia's biggest club championship in the current format before, but also because of the David vs Goliath aspect of the match we have at our hands.

The club Mohun Bagan are going up against has a massive yearly budget and has in their roster 14 players that have represented their respective national teams in the last 5 years (9 China, 4 Brazil, 1 Argentina). And even though this will be their first ever game of the season, the sheer quality of their players towers over the Mariners and makes their task tomorrow even more challenging.

We take a closer look at 7 of their players that can spell some real danger for the Green and Maroon brigade tomorrow.
