Kolhi’s bat and banter leaves Faulkner speechless

AUSTRALIAN CRICKETER James Faulkner is known for his aggressive behavior on the field and also doesn’t shy away from indulging in some sledging. And, if there is anyone in the Indian team who can give it back with interest, it is Virat Kohli. 

The two cricketers engaged in some on-field banter against each other since the Melbourne ODI where Kohli asked Faulkner to not to waste time sledging and even reminded him on how he was taken to the cleaners by him. 

The two feisty characters continued their verbal spat in Canberra yesterday and after belting the left-armer to all parts of the ground, the Indian vice-captain further teased Faulkner “were you fast asleep” for missing a direct hit. Given Kohli’s form and dominance, the Aussie didn’t have any option but to keep quietly get back to his bowling mark. 

Reflecting back on the banter, the 26-year-old felt it was a “perfectly timed” sledge and also admitted that as long as the players don’t cross the line, there shouldn’t be a problem.
