BOLLYWOOD ACTOR Akshay Kumar, who is the owner of the Mumbai Rockets franchise in the Premier Badminton League, spoke about what fascinated him about the sport of badminton in a recent interview.
Asked about what prompted his decision to get involved in PBL, Akshay confessed his love for badminton,
"Badminton is a very fast game. In cricket you bowl at 150 kilometers per hour. But in badminton your shuttle-cock flies towards the opponent at 420 kilometers per hour. So your reflex action has to have double, or triple speed. The game is very good for burning calories because it's very fast and impactful."
