Gayle slapped $10,000 fine for cheeky comments on Big Bash reporter

CHRIS GAYLE’S CHEEKY COMMENTS in an interview with reporter Mel McLaughlin after yesterday’s Big Bash game has certainly not gone down well with cricket authorities in Australia. The West Indian has now been fined $10,000 by his team the Melbourne Renegades. 

The Jamaican asked the Channel 10 reporter for a drink and even told her “don't blush, baby."

As reported by cricket.com.au, Renegades CEO Stuart Coventry said, 

“Chris's comments were completely inappropriate and disrespectful. There is simply no place for these type of comments at the Melbourne Renegades."

Looking back, Gayle might just be lucky to escape a match ban and will be available for selection for the next Renegades match against the Melbourne Stars.
