RCB to host season 3 of Corporate Cricket Championship in Bengaluru

IPL FRANCHISE Royal Challengers Bangalore is set to host the third edition of the RCB Corporate Cricket Championship in Bengaluru between November 14 and 29.

A total of 16 corporate teams from the city will be participating in what is touted as the most prominent annual inter-corporate cricket tournament in India. Winners of Season 2, Amazon will be defending their title, along with Accenture and HP among other participants, as reported by The Hindu

The Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) will be allotting their umpires for this tournament that will be played in a knockout format. There will be four groups consisting of four teams each. The top two sides from each group will qualify for the semi-finals and the finals to be played at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. 

The RCB CCC 3 will see the introduction of the T-6 format, in addition to the usual T20 format. Both formats will test the corporate teams in terms of pressure at Chinnaswamy as well as Karnataka's Alur grounds.RCB is also likely to introduce the pink ball, as a mark of evolving with the current cricketing landscape. Teams will be allowed to use a 'Super Sub' in the team, who is essentially a member of the RCB squad. Last year, it was all-rounder Yuvraj Singh and Ashok Dinda who played along with the corporate teams to give them a boost.
