Last time Kerala Blasters played Bengaluru FC in the ISL it ended with the KBFC team storming off the pitch, for which their head coach Ivan Vukomanovic is still serving a suspension. It's that very rivalry that will go forward on the opening night of ISL 2023-24; in Kochi.

The rest of the first round will pit Hyderabad FC against FC Goa, Mohun Bagan against the newly promoted Punjab FC, Odisha FC against Chennaiyin FC, East Bengal and Jamshedpur FC etc.

Defending champions Mumbai City will face bottom table finishers NorthEast United in their campaign opener in the first round.

A detailed fixture list is expected to be released soon as the top flight league eyes a kick-off on 21st September.
