KKR star Rinku Singh called his mother after maiden entry into India team

RINKU SINGH WAS elated when he heard he was included in the Indian squad that's touring Ireland.

The Kolkata Knight Riders star batter said in an interview with the BCCI social media team what he did when he heard for the first time,

"I was in Noida, where I practiced. I was with friends when the team was announced. It felt really good when I saw my namein the squad. Then I called my mother. She used to say you have to play for India. So her dream came true and so did mine."

Rinku who shot to fame for hitting six sixes in the last over in KKR's win over Gujarat Giants is one of the players the selectors want to take a look at during the 3 T20 matches against Ireland. If he does well there, he may be in the running for the first-choice Indian squad that will build up to the T20 World Cup next year.
