India vs Pakistan in Bengaluru: tickets nearly sold out for mega SAFF Championship clash

FOOTBALL FANS IN BENGALURU are brimming with anticipation as India and Pakistan prepare to face each other at Sree Kanteerava Stadium.

Tickets for the mega clash on the opening night of the SAFF Championship 2023 have all but disappeared as eager supporters flocked to ticketing booths and online platforms to pick them up.

The West Block, famous home of the West Block Blues, is completely sold out. So is the entire East Block, including the designated foreign fans' section at East Lower B.

These are the two stands of the stadium that have the priciest tickets, including VIP/hospitality sections. So them selling out fast indicates a high amount of interest among the who's who of the city as well as the hardcore fans who regularly attend matches in this arena to support Bengaluru FC. What's interesting is the away fans' section being one of the first to sell out.

Bengaluru is home to a large Nepali community, including both students and young professionals, who are passionate about football and since these tickets also cover the Nepal vs Kuwait match that will take place earlier in the afternoon we can expect a large presence of fans from early on in the day; especially in that section.

The only place where fans can still find a ticket is the North Stand; both the upper and lower tiers. Sources claim that half of the tickets there are gone; and as casual fans across the city read about the match in the newspapers on Wednesday morning the remaining tickets may also run out in the late rush.

Whether the stadium will experience a full sellout is still not sure but looking at the trends, one can expect more than 20,000 fans to be present to witness the arch rivals collide.
