Chennai Super Kings, 2 more IPL teams top among global sports teams on social media
CHENNAI SUPER KINGS ARE ruling the world of sports when it comes to social media interactions.
In a survey done on professional teams' Instagram stats for the month of May 2023, CSK have come up with 377 million interactions. They have left the Spanish giants Real Madrid (274 million) and FC Barcelona (246 million), two of the biggest football clubs in the world, far behind.
Fourth and fifth on the list are Mumbai Indians (243 million) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (235 million).

It's remarkable that three of the top five most engaging sports teams on Instagram are IPL teams, and they have outdone every team from major sports leagues like Premier League (football), NFL (American football) and NBA (basketball) who have fans around the world.
IPL has emerged as one of the most popular and profitable leagues in the world and there's little doubt that much of its success is driven by teams like CSK.
