The only goal India conceded came about five minutes after taking the lead. A free kick leading to the goal was the sole reason India didn’t keep a clean sheet. Thailand captain Teerasil Dangda rose unchallenged for a header that beat Gurpreet Singh Sandhu. The Indian defence could not keep Thailand’s most capped player from being unmarked. That sure should serve as a wake-up call to tighten up before playing the hosts of the 2019 AFC Asian Cup.
