PBL 2017-18: WATCH -- Lee Yang & Sumeeth's heroics that helped Chennai cancel out Bengaluru's trump
CHENNAI SMASHERS defeated Bengaluru Blasters 3-2 in their final tie of the league stage and ended their home campaign undefeated. The opening match between the men's doubles was a trump for Bengaluru and it was yet another gripping doubles match of the season.
Sumeeth Reddy/Lee Yang (Chennai) and Mathias Boe/Kim Sa Rang (Bengaluru) were up against each other. The latter won the opening game but then Sumeeth/Lee Yang displayed their heroics in the second to push the match into a decider and eventually win the match.
In the second game, when the scores were at 4-4, there was massive rally of shots that saw Lee Yang down but still alert enough to hit back all the shots without missing a single rally and then Sumeeth was seen jumping from one end to the other and also fell to the ground to return a shot. And in the end, all their effort paid off as they won that rally.
