READ: Jasprit Bumrah’s first wickets across all formats are big fishes

INDIA PACEMAN received his maiden Test cap ahead of the day 1 of the first Test against South Africa in Cape Town.

Bumrah, who is enjoying a brilliant run of form in the limited-overs format, was picked ahead of Ishant Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane and KL Rahul. While the Test cap was a special feat for the young lad, it soon became a priceless moment when he dismissed AB de Villiers in the 32nd over. 

Much to everyone’s surprise, the Mumbai Indians’ seamer has had big names as his debut wickets across all formats. The 23-year made his ODI debut against Australia in early 2016. And, his first wicket was Aussie skipper Steve Smith. He went on to bag T20I cap in the following week and also dismissed David Warner in his debut. Also, his first IPL victim was none other than India skipper Virat Kohli.
