Chennaiyin & NEUFC condemn untoward fans' behaviour; release official statements
IN THE MATCH between Chennaiyin FC and NorthEast United FC on Thursday at the Marina Arena some ugly scenes played out among the fans.
In a video that has gone viral on social media shows that some section of spectators indulge themselves in an unruly behaviour towards the NorthEast sitting among them.

The actions left the fans uncomfortable and also helpless at the same time. Since there has been a lot of outrage over the same on social media, the teams have released official statements condemning the act and assured that strict action will be taken.
Below is Chennaiyin FC's statement
Chennaiyin FC has a very strict and firm policy against racism and any unbecoming behaviour in the stadium. The club strongly condemns any such act. We are looking into any such incidents and will take strong action against it. pic.twitter.com/0ZD2VjMCBM

The fan group of Chennaiyin, 'Supermachans' have also condemned the same.
