Kohli is the superstar that he always wanted to be, says former India selector Vikram Rathour

FORMER TEAM INDIA SELECTOR Vikram Rathour stated that he is not surprised that skipper Virat Kohli’s hard-work and insatiable hunger are yielding his centuries.

Rathour revealed that it was Kohli’s childhood dream to become a superstar and also added that the Delhi-lad indeed is a superstar in the world of cricket. As reported by PTI, Rathour said,

“He’s a great player. He has been extremely hungry and hardworking and I think all this combination is paying off now. He always wanted to be a superstar. He already is now. He works very very hard. He always had the ability and all this combination is doing great wonders for him and he’s doing great for the country.”

Rathour’s comments are coming in the backdrop of Kohli’s 32nd ODI century in the third and the final 50-over game against New Zealand at Kanpur. The former Selection Committee member also termed the currently bowling attack as ‘one of the best ever’.

“Maybe this is the best ever bowling attack. Maybe this is the most balanced attack, there’s nothing short. In past you would have good spinners but not seamers or good seamers but not spinners. This looks to me a complete attack. They should not be worrying too much about any surface they play on or against any opponent they face. They have all their bases covered.”
