The Rajasthan-lad was arguably Gujarat’s best find this season. The promising raider was known to have led and won gold with the junior national kabaddi team. Sachin, who became the league’s most expensive teenager to be bought in PKL auction (Rs 36 lakh), drew eyeballs for scoring bonuses and hand touches at a blistering pace. He eclipsed skipper Sukesh Hegde’s subdued run by leading the Gujarat raid department. The 18-year-old finished season 5 with 173 points. He had a Super 10 to his name in the final game, which saw none of the Gujarat players scoring over five points. It is commendable that Sachin is the only debutant in the top 10 list for raid points.
