John Lineker vs. Marlon Vera
This feature bout at bantamweight is an exciting one, with both men being uber tough to put away and the types to go for a finish in their fights. No.3-ranked John Lineker will be looking to rebound from a loss in his last fight against TJ Dillashaw, while Ecuadorian fighter Marlon Vera will be looking to carry his momentum forward, which has seen him win his last 3 fights.
While the power advantage unquestionably lies with 'Hands of stone' Lineker, Vera is longer and in many ways craftier than him. His black-belt in Jiu-Jitsu means that if this fight ends up on the ground, the advantage would most likely be with the Ecuadorian. However, he's not the takedown artist that Lineker's last opponent TJ Dillashaw is and it'll be a tough task getting the hard-hitting Brazilian down to the mat, without getting hit by one of those bombs while doing so.
This is an extremely intriguing matchup given the form of both men leading into this fight, but I'm leaning towards Lineker to get inside of 'Chito' at some point during the three rounds and earn a technical knockout.
Prediction: John Lineker wins via TKO.
