ISL 2017 Pre-Season: ATK beat lower league side Dibba Al-Hisn in pre-season friendly
ATK NOTCHED UP ANOTHER win in their pre-season friendlies ahead of ISL.
Right now the Kolkata-based ISL franchise is preparing for the upcoming season in the UAE. Last night they took on Dibba Al-Hisn Sports & Culture Club, a lower league club in that country with 2 foreign players in their squad.
ATK fielded all their star signings including Robbie Keane in the match, and it turned out to be a hard-fought contest. But in the end the defending ISL champions came out winners. Malek Ahmed and Shadi scored for Dibba Al-Hisn, but ATK managed to one-up them with one goal apiece from Jose Branco, their marquee signing Robbie Keane and their Draft pick Bipin Singh Thangjam, the striker from Shillong Lajong.
The Manipuri striker has been on fire for his new team in the pre-season. A few days back he found the net against a non-league local club Dubai Irish FC. The other most regular scorer for ATK has been the former Ireland international and Tottenham, Liverpool star forward Robbie Keane.
