WATCH HIGHLIGHTS -- Kerala Blasters come back from a goal down to defeat ATK 2-1
KERALA BLASTERS GOT OFF to a winning start in their ISL 2019-20 campaign when they beat ATK 2-1 in Kochi Sunday night.
Playing in front of a sold out crowd at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, KBFC got off to a shaky start when just 6 minutes in the visitors took a lead. Irish midfielder Carl McHugh got hold of a ball from Agustin Garcia Iniguez and found the net.
But half an hour in, Kerala Blasters got a chance to get even when a penalty came their way and Nigerian forward Bartholomew Ogbeche obliged by converting it from the spot. Just before half-time, Ogbeche found the net again, giving the home side a 2-1 lead.
In the second half ATK exerted a lot of pressure on KBFC to get their equalizer and created a number of chances, but the scoreline remained unchanged.
