The unseeded 27-year-old Bangalore-based player with this win has sent strong messages across badminton fans and players that watch out for him and he is not done yet.
He was beaten by the world no. 7 twice this season at German Open and US Open and now the world no. 32 Jayaram has set up a summit clash with World No. 1 Chen Long of China in the final.
Jayaram had reached the semi-finals of Malaysia Masters Grand Prix Gold, Swiss Open Grand Prix Gold and Russian Open Grand Prix this season.
Among Indians, Kidambi Srikanth and Saina Nehwal won the men's and women's singles titles at the India Super Series this year.
He then said that he will do even better for the final match.
Will do my best to make tomorrow count! Thanks everyone :) #koreaopen #comeon
