FIFA U17 WC: Mexico Preview - One of the title contenders for the World Cup

History
Seventeen FIFA Under 17 World Cups have been held so far and Mexico have missed to qualify only on four occasions. In the 13 appearances at the world stage, Mexico been champions twice, runners up once and one finished in the top four; all this in the last ten years.
Qualification
Talk about hot form and the Mexicans have been dominating the continental scene not just recently but from the time of entering the competition. In ten CONCACAF U-17 Championship appearances, Mexico has won the title seven times. On the road to 2017 FIFA World Cup qualification, El Tri reached the finals of the losing just one game, against U.S.A in the group stage. The final was a face-off between U.S.A. and Mexico, where the latter won on penalty shoot out.
Player to watch
Jairo Torres: He was awarded the best player of the tournament in the 2017 CONCACAF U17 championships. Torres plays in the midfield, either in the center or as a right winger.
