AB de Villiers 

The South African swashbuckler has got a tremendous fan following in India. Every time he walks onto the field for Royal Challengers Bangalore, the spectators in the stadium invariably get behind him with ‘ABD ABD’ chants. In fact, much to the surprise of the Indian team, the same chants were repeated a few years ago at the Wankhede stadium when India took on the Proteas in the decider of a bilateral series. Last year, de Villiers launched his autobiography and much to everyone’s delight, it had a chapter titled ‘Inspired by India’ in it.
