David Lalrinmuana pens a new contract with I-League winners Aizawl FC

WHILE OTHER CLUBS AND TEAMS are looking to sign up star names with heavy market demand, Aizawl FC are keeping it local signing home-grown talent from the state. Before Albert Zohmingmawia extend his contract, Aizawl FC added three more players to their squad last week. David Lalrinmuana, last week signed a deal with Aizawl FC that reunites him with his former team.

He has played for Aizawl FC in the year 2012 when the club played in the I-League 2nd division. Over the years, he has representated his state, Mizoram, in youth national competitions. He made his debut in the I-League with ONGC    club. He played one season for the them, making 16 appearances. David also spent time in Goa and played in the Goa Professional League. Returning to club football in his home state, David joined Aizawl FC and won the 2nd division of the I-League gaining promotion to the I-League and finishin runners-up in the Federation Cup the same season. In the following season, David was included in the Indian Super League team Mumbai City FC. 

Last season, he was part of the Kolkata-based East Bengal FC team but hardly got any game time. This season, David Lalrinmuana is back with I-League champions Aizawl FC as the club announced.
