Tim Elliott vs. Ben Nguyen
An early pick for the 'Fight of the Night' contender, this one should produce some fireworks. Nguyen is an exciting prospect in the UFC's Flyweight division who calls Australia home, after moving there 5 years ago. A Taekwondo specialist, he's got excellent distance control, can switch stances and has great takedown defense.
His opponent Tim Elliott is an excellent grappler with creative takedowns and a quirky standup game which relies heavily on forward pressure. He has a huge advantage on the ground over Nguyen though as he displayed in his fight against Demetrious Johnson earlier this year.
I see Elliott being able to take the tricky Nguyen down and dominate him on the ground, but it'll be the action throughout it all that makes it such an exciting matchup.
