In what should be a fun matchup in the headliner for the Fight Pass early prelims, young prospects  Mendes and Sterling are set to go against each other. Mendes, who is a JiuJitsu specialist will have to deal with the unorthodox striking game of 'Funkmaster' who is also an excellent grappler.

Sterling with his excellent wrestling and submission defense will be hard to submit, though if the fight does go to the ground Mendes can cause more trouble than what Caraway did in his fight against the New Yorker. However, I see the standup being the big difference in this one and Sterling should get the win just based on the skill differential in that one aspect.
