INDIA BATSMAN Cheteshwar Pujara stated that he and the rest of the Indian team fully support skipper Virat Kohli ahead of beginning the fourth Test against Australia in Dharamshala, starting March 25.
Referring to the Australian media reports comparing Virat Kohli to US President Donald Trump, Pujara said that the team is unaffected by such comments and is focussed on performing in the upcoming Test.
“We fully support Virat. He is one of the great ambassadors of the game. I think the focus has shifted to somewhere else which shouldn’t have happened. We are very much focussed on the next game rather than worrying about anything else.”
Recently, Cricket Australia chief James Sutherland took a light hearted dig at Kohli saying that he is not sure if the Indian captain knows “how to spell” the word sorry.
Meanwhile, former Aussie captain Michael Clarke had slammed Australian journalists and accusing them of tarnishing the Indian maestro’s image.
