UFC Fight Night Vancouver Results: Maia makes his claim for the title

THE UFC FIGHT NIGHT in Vancouver saw Demian Maia cement his claim for the Welterweight championship after finishing Carlos Condit in the first round itself. This was the first time that someone finished Carlos Condit since 2006 and the fact that it happened in a few minutes made matters more interesting.

Elsewhere, the card also saw Anthony Pettis in the Featherweight division. Pettis had a solid win via submission over Charles Oliveira and he will be looking to build up on the momentum and get himself some good matches in the near future.

Paige VanZant’s return to the Octagon also had a happy ending as she defeated Bec Rawlings via TKO. Paige used a beautiful combination of Flying head kicks and punches to finish off her opponent in style. In the first match of the main card, Jim Miller surprised Joe Lauzon via split decision.
