AS THE ISL REGULAR SEASON enters its very last round, we at TFG take a look at the last remaining four matches and try to predict who will end their campaign with a bang, who will fizzle out and who will extend their season with a place in the coveted playoffs.
FC GOA executed a step-by-step disintegration of their opponents as they recovered from a goal-deficit, took the lead and ruthlessly ran a 10-man Kerala Blasters to the ground courtesy a hat-trick and an assist from Reinaldo, and two superb assists from Leo Moura.
THINGS FELL APART for Kerala Blasters as the bottom-table team came into this must-win home encounter, took the lead, played well, then conceded twice to FC Goa and lost the lead, and ended the half with losing a player after Josue Currais was shown a red card for punching Jofre.
THIS IS IT. The ISL 2015 has untangled its story through many twists and turns over 12 rounds, produced many frontrunners and bottom-stuck unfortunates. But the race to top four has been close enough for every single team to still be in the race; at least mathematically. But Round 13 will bring down the hammer of certainty on many teams' hopes and despairs. And we at TFG are telling you how it's going to turn out.
ROUND 12 of the Indian Super League saw the fight for top 4 come to a head, for real. It had massive goalfests and it had gritty draws. There were serious, long term consequences as well, as at least three teams had their semi-final dreams crushed.
A LATE EQUALIZER from Reinaldo rescued a point for FC Goa after the Gaurs were dominated by visiting NorthEast United for most of the game at their own backyard, and spent a while trailing as Victor Mendy's goal had put the Highlanders ahead earlier in the second half.
NORTHEAST UNITED browbeated FC Goa in their own backyard as a tense first half ended goalless at Fatorda.
FC GOA CHIEF COACH Zico feels that his team will remain unaffected by the 0-4 thrashing at the hands of Atletico de Kolkata (ATK) in their last game as they prepare to tackle NorthEast United FC in a crucial Indian Super League (ISL) clash here on Wednesday
THE TIPPING POINT IS HERE; Round 12 will see many ISL teams battle for survival as the race to top four reaches a climactic turning point. We at TFG are sticking our neck out yet again in order to call the games.
